So I made her a smash book using family photos and genealogy inspired pages for her to take to the library on research trips and she LOVED it! She liked it so much she tweeted about it (yes, my mother is on twitter.) So I made another genealogy journal for other budding genealogists out there, or people just interested in a pretty journal/smashbook.
This book contains a pages for gluing photos of your ancestors/family, receipts, copies of old manuscripts, and pockets for keeping memories. It's created with a cardboard front and back and held together with 2 ring binders. The rings can open for adding or subtracting pages on a whim - but remain securely closed - and allow you to bend the book back on yourself. It's the perfect size for tucking into a purse or bag (5x7) and would make a perfect gift for anyone who loves family history - a perfect Mother's Day gift! There's plenty of room for adding your own family memories too.
